Uses

Fortius Tablet (Dapagliflozin) is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor used to treat type 2 diabetes. The 5mg strength is a lower dose for initial treatment or for patients who require a mild reduction in blood sugar.

Side Effects

Possible side effects include urinary tract infections or yeast infections.

Caution

Be aware of the signs of dehydration. Not for use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
